Cinetix

Cinetix was created to make it easier for those with disabilities to obtain the assistive devices they need to watch a movie in theaters. Through solving this problem, a full fledged movie ticket reservation app was created. This app not only helps movie lovers with disabilities, but all people who enjoy movies as well.

The Problem

It's difficult for those with disabilities to obtain the devices they need to enjoy a movie experience. Theaters may not have enough devices, or specialty seating available. This can lead to frustration and feelings of isolation.

The Solution

This app assists those with disabilities in reserving those devices and also helps theaters make sure there is a seamless pick up experience for movie goers with disabilities.

The Prototype

In making an app to assist those with disabilities, I also realized that this works for everyone. I think a core function of UX design is working to help marginalized communities, and in doing so, making a greater experience for all users.
